Services Frequently Asked Questions

Q Does Mosaic customize the supports to the individual?
A Mosaic's staff meets regularly with parents, guardians and clients, listening for both needs and desires. We then arrange supports that match the individual situation of each person we assist.
Q Must I be Lutheran or Christian to receive Mosaic supports?
A No. Mosaic does not discriminate based on religion. Mosaic clients and employees come from a variety of religious traditions. Mosaic does have ties to the Lutheran Church, but we respect and support the religious choices each individual makes.
Q Can we coordinate Mosaic supports with services from another provider?
A Mosaic recognizes that clients arrange providers into a system of supports that best responds to their needs and desires. Mosaic will coordinate its services with those offered by any other provider.
Q What resources are available to pay for Mosaic services?
A Government monies, like Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid, fund most clients' supports. Some individuals pay privately for services. Donations help underwrite expenses not covered by government monies.
Q Are Mosaic agencies accredited?
A Many individual Mosaic agencies are accredited by either The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), or by CARF, two nationally recognized bodies. Additionally Mosaic is the only national provider of services to receive a Network Basic Assurances Certifcation from CQL.
Q What if I have a concern about services or a suggestion to offer?
A Local agency executive directors will readily respond to any concern or suggestion and families/guardians are encouraged to contact them first. In addition Mosaic offers a national program, Integrity at Mosaic (IAM), to assure that we always "do the right thing." Further information on IAM can be found through the Ethical Philosophy link at the top of this page or by calling 877.366.7242
