We are pleased you are considering making a donation to Mosaic.  All the work accomplished by the Mosaic Collaborative, Governmental Affairs and International is only made possible by the generosity of donor gifts.  Gifts from previous donors have helped us accomplish great things in partnership with people who have disabilities and their families.  Here are a few things donor gifts helped make possible:

  • Developed new community-based services in Romania for children with disabilities who were moved out of overcrowded institutions, providing them with a better quality of life through residential, educational and therapeutic services.
  • Developed new services in Tanzania for children with disabilities and their mothers, grandmothers and aunts, including neighborhood children's centers, respite, in-home supports and employment training and opportunities.
  • Commissioned an international research study to identify a model of social technology transfer that will assist in developing future international projects.
  • Provided domestic and international internship opportunities for college students to gain experience in disabilities public policy and practice.
  • Created a national network of volunteer advoates, called Mosaic Allied Voices, to help raise awareness and motivate change in local communities and states around the country where Mosaic provides supports for people with disabilities and their families.
  • Worked in partnership with the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) to introduce the Direct Support Professionals Fairness and Security Act, H.R. 1279, to address the growing workforce crisis among direct support professionals.
  • Worked in partnership with ANCOR to pass Senate Resolution 613 designating the week of September 8, 2008, as "National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week."
