About Us
Mosaic, then Bethphage, began providing services to families in San Angelo in 1986. Leaders from MHMR Services for the Concho Valley visited our programs in Nebraska and requested that we bring our services to San Angelo. Shortly thereafter, we opened an office and received a contract to provide services in five group homes. San Angelo had a satellite office in Marfa, Texas and in Brownwood, Texas. These homes were all eventually moved to San Angelo and the agency now has nine ICF-MR group homes in San Angelo. The agency added Home and Community-Based Services in 1991.
In May of 2004, the Mosaic Redwine Child Care Center opened, serving children birth to 5 years of age, specializing in serving children with special needs in an integrated setting.
In June 2007, Mosaic in San Angelo began its therapeutic riding program called Therapeutic Riding for the Achievement of Individual Life Success (TRAILS). This program provides therapeutic riding experiences for children and adults and gives a sense of personal strength to those people with developmental disabilities.
The program in Lubbock began in 1986 with four ICF-MR group homes and a vocational center. In 2005, the agency added Home and Community-Based Services. In 2006, the Lubbock and San Angelo agencies joined together to make the West Texas Agency.
