We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself. Our History Mosaic in Corsicana began providing supports through the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver in 1996. The agency now consists of more than 50 employees serving 55 people in a variety of settings. Our Vision Statement Mosaic in Corsicana will empower people to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams. We will show our commitment to the people we serve by acting as a team: caring, supporting, protecting, growing, inspiring. Mosaic Awarded Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund Grant
Firestone Building Products presented a trust fund check for $2,000 to Mosaic to be used towards its Community Access Program, which will be part of the Erwin Morris Day Habilitation. The goals of the Community Access Program include activities and training in self-help, daily living, and social and budgeting skills for people with intellectual disabilities served by Mosaic. Rachel Faulk, Direct Support Professional (DSP) Nominated for DSP AwardThere's no question that direct support professionals (DSPs) constitute the backbone of community supports and services and without them we could not provide a life of possibilities for people with disabilities. The Direct Support Professional Award program started by ANCOR in 2007 recognizes the outstanding commitment of direct support professionals across the entire United States. DSPs nominated by their colleagues for the award excel in their contribution to ensure community inclusion and full participation for the people they support.This year, our very own Rachel Faulk was nominated for this year's DSP Award! Each year, ANCOR bestows one direct support professional with the award per state and in 2011, five Mosaic employees received the award. Mosaic in Corsicana Awarded for 100% HIPAA ComplianceMosaic in Corsicana was recently recognized for 100 percent participation within the required time frames for HIPAA and I AM training for new employees from July 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011.
