Mosaic of Connecticut's Hand in H'Art Art Show

When: July 5 - 16, 2010
             (Art Show is open to the public during museum hours)
             Mon-Sat 10am -- 4pm, and Sunday 1pm- 4pm

Cost: Free to see the Hand in H'Art Art Show in the Gallery
          $5.00 if guests would like to visit the entire museum

 

What: Artwork and Crafts displayed in the Gallery created by   people with developmental disabilities that receive services from the non-profit organization Mosaic in Connecticut, staff of Mosaic, and chosen pieces from the "Mosaic Art Workshop" that will be hosted by renowned and Connecticut born artist Karen Rossi. www.Karenrossi.com

A very unique "Mosaic Chair" created by Karen Rossi will be showcased at the Hand in H'Art Art show.

The Mosaic Art Workshop will be open to the public, date and time TBD.

Hand in H'Art Show Opening Reception

When: Thursday July 15, 2010 at 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Where: Keeney Cultural Memorial Center
             Rotary Room 2nd floor next to the Gallery
             200 Main Street
             Wethersfield, CT 06109

What: Meet and greet with the artists, light Refreshments will be served

Costs: $5 donation taken at the door


 

About Wethersfield Museum at Keeney Memorial

See the exhibits at the Wethersfield Museum at Keeney Memorial, 200 Main St. Featuring "Legendary People, Ordinary Lives," the permanent exhibition on the history of Wethersfield featuring over 100 artifacts from the Society's collections, interactive components for visitors, and information on historic sites to visit in the area. Also the changing exhibition galleries feature the works of local artisans, artists, craft guilds and temporary society exhibitions throughout the year. Don't forget to visit the Museum Shop while there! The Keeney Memorial Cultural Center also houses meeting and reception space available for rent by public and private groups. The building is handicapped accessible from the 100 car parking lot. Open Mon. - Sat., 10-4, Sun. 1-4. Gallery admission is $3.00 for adults, free to Wethersfield residents, Society members and to children16 and under.
