You can help with the Essentials of Life Fund
The limited "Personal Spending Allowances" which each person we serve
receives each month is simply not enough for many of them to pay for all of these personal expenses. Mosaic's
Essentials of Life Fund (ELF) was created to provide for those
essential personal needs that many of the persons we serve cannot
afford. All funds (100 percent) raised for the ELF will be used exclusively
to pay for Life Essentials for persons Mosaic Delaware serves. These funds
will be provided to individual consumers as needed, for the following
most basic "life essentials":
- Clothing (Seasonal clothes,
footwear, outerwear, church clothes, etc.)
- Essential medications (not covered by benefits) and medication Co-Pays
- Adaptive Equipment Supplies, equipment replacement and repairs (for
wheelchairs, eyeglasses, orthotic devices, leg braces, etc.- some of
which are not covered by benefits or insurance)
- Essential toiletries (Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
- Nutritional supplements not covered by benefits
- Other "life
essentials"
BECOME AN ELF PARTNER We invite you to become a
partner in providing persons we serve with Life Essentials they cannot
afford. Partnership Opportunities through the Essentials of Life Fund include:
- Making a donation to Mosaic and designating it for the ELF program.*
- Donate carefully matched Individual Essential Needs List items. If you
have a new or "like new" item from this list, that you wish to donate, please contact us
to determine if the item will "fit" in meeting the needs of one of
the individuals we serve.*
- Participate in a Mosaic in Delaware fund
raising event. For each such event Mosaic will clearly indicate what percentage of net proceeds will be contributed to the "Essentials
of Life" fund.
- Talk to us regarding other ideas you may have for
helping persons served in meeting these essential needs (Corporate
donations of goods or funds; Foundation Grant Proposals; Fund Raising activities or events; etc).
* 100 percent of all such donations will
be tax deductible, and will be used exclusively to support persons we
serve, with their "essential" needs.
