about usMosaic in Delaware provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.
Quality Service Awards
In August 2013, Mosaic in Delaware started a new program called Monthly Quality Service Awards. Employees can be nominated by a colleague or supervisor whenever they go above and beyond to assist the people we serve in realizing their hopes and dreams. Nominations are reviewed by a committee and awards are distributed to employees the following month. Awards include a commendation letter from Executive Director Chuck Sipe and the person who nominated them, along with a modest monetary one-time bonus. Please check back each month to read about the honorees.

Mosaic in Delaware partners with Grace Lutheran Church-Hockessin to serve people who are homeless in Wilmington
by Angi McCloskey
September 8, 2013 was designated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) as a National Day of Service. The theme, "God's work. Our hands." was an opportunity for the church and its member organizations, such as Mosaic, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ELCA. Mosaic in Delaware partnered with Grace Lutheran Church-Hockessin to serve God and honor this anniversary. According to the Delaware Homeless Planning Council, more than 6,000 people in the state of Delaware are homeless, with the majority of those individuals seeking assistance for food and shelter in the city of Wilmington.

Interested in helping create possibilities for the people supported by Mosaic in Delaware?
We would like to offer you the opportunity to attend a free, one-hour event called Discover the Possibilities at Mosaic in Delaware. Those who attend will be given a tour of Mosaic's mission and work through stories told by the people who know it well -- the people we serve, their families and our staff members. Discover the Possibilities will be held several times a month. The tour opens our doors in an attempt to share our mission, vision, and passion for those being served.
