Advocacy
At Mosaic, advocacy is a part of our mission. We advocate for and with people who have disabilities so they may choose appropriate supports, defend their rights and express their opinions. Mosaic advocates find their voices heard locally in their own communities, in statehouses across the land, and in several countries around the world. Mosaic's advocacy efforts include:
Broadening the capacity for advocacy at the local, state, national and international level.
Participating in numerous coalitions formed to affect public policy.
Networking with grassroots advocates to pass legislation affecting the lives of people who have disabilities.
Assisting other nonprofit organizations to develop and enhance their supports.
Increasing volunteer advocacy participation locally, nationally and globally.
Mosaic in Delaware is a member of Delaware Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (DelARF), a statewide membership associate of private community organizations and individuals that provide services to people with disabilities.

A Guide to Delaware Public Assistance Resources
Individuals with disabilities and their families often struggle to make sense of the complex network of resources that may be available to help improve the quality of life for the person with a disability. The system of services and resources can be confusing and at times, overwhelming to navigate. The Guide to Delaware Public Assistance Resources was developed by The Mosaic Collaborative for Disabilities Public Policy and Practice to assist individuals for a variety of needs -- everything from medical to adaptive technology to home modifications to transportation.
While this manual is intended to be comprehensive, it is not an exhaustive list of resources that may be available in your community. In addition, while Mosaic has sought to include the most current data, we are unable to guarantee the accuracy of information on the website links listed in the manual.
