Meet the Executive Director

Terry Olson began serving as the administrator for the Mosaic Delaware agency, (then known as Martin Luther Homes of Delaware) in 1993 and has been privileged to work as Executive Director ever since as a servant leader for the persons with intellectual disabilities, the talented staff and all the various other constituents of this agency.

Terry has also had the opportunity to be a founding member of three Human Rights Committee and continues to be passionately dedicated to supporting all persons with developmental disabilities, in making choices and exercising their human and civil rights.

National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Mosaic has launched a campaign in honor of National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March to raise awareness for Mosaic and our important cause. Few people in the U.S. are aware of this important issue and need so we're asking for your voice to help us spread the word by sharing the Would You Help video.

Did you know that:

1 in 62 Americans have an intellectual disability, many requiring lifelong help.

Families with children with intellectual disabilities are more than twice as likely to live in poverty.

In one study, respondents ranked supporting people with intellectual disabilities as a low priority (11th overall) -- even below helping animals and supporting the arts.

26,000 Americans with intellectual disabilities live in nursing homes inadequate for their needs.
