About Us
Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself. Mosaic in Ellsworth was formed in 2003, but our roots go back to 1985 when the people of Ellsworth and Bethphage formed a partnership to establish an organization that could provide supported living and life skills training. Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes ministries consolidated as Mosaic and now serve thousands of people internationally. Mosaic in Ellsworth presently provides needed services to 30 people. We employ 45 people with engaging jobs and provide quality training to ensure a high level of integrity and compassionate care. A life of possibilities
Since becoming a part of Mosaic, Matthew has seen many positive changes in himself, and he has become a valuable member of the Ellsworth community. He has worked at a local restaurant, he is currently on a team that provides janitorial services to several Ellsworth businesses, and he might be that person who greets you when you are getting popcorn at the local bank. Mosaic in Ellsworth also helped Matthew turn a long-time dream into reality when he reconnected with his mother. For the first time in over ten years, Matthew spent Christmas with his family. Creating a scrapbook of family and friends is also a focus for Matthew these days, as well as earning his 'grill master' cooking status, surfing the net, and boating on the lake.
