We have been springing into action to advocate for the people we serve. In February, employees and people supported by Mosaic attended the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Awareness Day at the Capitol in Denver. We heard first-hand from Legislators on the importance of the work we do. Our team rallied together and left notes and business cards in the legislators’ offices.
We topped off the day of advocacy listening to our very own Rose Medina share her story of Mosaic’s positive impact on her life. Rose spoke in front of 400 people and rocked it!
Our efforts haven’t stopped since February. Many of our employees, independent contractors, donors and stakeholders stepped up and voiced their concerns with the American Health Care Act. Thank You.
We have more work to do but have made a good start toward educating our community and legislators. In July, we will host a special educational presentation for elected officials – local, state, and national.
Mosaic is committed to giving a voice to the people we serve. I am incredibly proud of our team for being bold and standing up for those we humbly support. Thank you for teaching us strength, compassion, and determination.
