Pat Lindbloom
Pat Lindbloom has been a host home provider with Mosaic for 13 years in Grand Junction, Colo. She has been a DSP for 24 years. Pat has cared for two gentlemen with high medical and physical needs during her years at Mosaic. Pat is exceptional in every way when it comes to her clients and their care. She has taken them on many vacations and out of town trips just to be tourists and stay in a cabin or a motel. She purchased a large wheelchair van just for transporting her wheelchair bound gentleman on vacations and to activities. Pat's large extended family includes her host home gentlemen. Her grandchildren have grown up with them and learned early to love and accept someone different than themselves.
One of the gentlemen lived many years at Grand Jct. Regional Center, had a j tube, high care needs, and Pat became his provider. With Pat, he had the opportunity to experience normal activities, family life, and friends that would not have been possible without her. This gentleman recently passed away at home where he was happiest and loved. Passing at home was his final wish and she honored it. Pat personifies kindness, patience, humility and working hard. Pat never says "I can't do that" she just figures out "how." Pat is a true example of selflessness, dedication, and love, and is always inspiring others to reach higher and figure out "how."
