Second Annual Mosaic Heartland Hoedown a Success

Mosaic in Omaha held its second annual Heartland Hoedown on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Town Hall at Carol Joy Holling Center. Over 150 people dressed in western attire attended the Heartland Hoedown, which made approximately $40,000 to benefit individuals served by Mosaic to provide meaningful days and employement opportunities.


The evening was emceed by Dave Webber and Jack Swanda and featured a western--style barbecue dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and entertainment with magician Joe Cole and dancing with the Country Kickers. 


Mosaic thanks all the attendees and supporters of this special event. Silver Spur Sponsors were Business Printing, Grace Mayer, Immanuel Senior Living, Wells Fargo, Seim Johnson Sestak & Quist, LLP, and metroMagazine. As a faith-based organization, ELCA congregrations also participated in Mosaic's Heartland Hoedown and collected $553.13 for "Pennies for Mosaic." Carlos Barrientos guessed the closest to the correct amount of money collected, which was displayed in jars at the event.
