Mosaic in Southeast Texas

My name is Jenniffer LeDoux, and I am delighted to serve as the Executive Director for Mosaic in Southeast Texas, a role I assumed in January 2017. I came to Mosaic with more than 20 years of experience working with babies, children, youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mosaic’s faith heritage, mission, vision and core values were all key factors in my decision to join this team. I am grateful for the employees I work alongside in support of the individuals we serve.

There have been a number of changes over the last several months, including personnel in key positions. We have bid farewell to Veronica Polk, Direct Support Manager, as she retires after more than 20 years of wonderful service to Mosaic. We have welcomed Sonia Flores as the new Direct Support Manager in our Bryan location. Sonia has many years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Finally, we are delighted to welcome Tonja Theodile as the Associate Director for Mosaic in Southeast Texas. Tonja is also experienced working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings.

We have faced some difficult choices due to challenging fiscal conditions. As a result of budget shortfalls, the day program and office in Alvin closed in June. We will continue to provide host home and services such as respite, transportation and others to individuals in the Alvin area. Contract management and case management staff from our Spring office will provide support.

As we look ahead to the coming program year for Mosaic in Southeast Texas, I am optimistic about opportunities for engagement and growth. We have welcomed new individuals into service in our host home program, and we are looking ahead to a day of service in the fall that will focus on people we serve having a chance to volunteer and give back in the community. I encourage you to follow our Facebook page for more information.

Thank you for your continued interest in our work. We welcome volunteers with a variety of interests and abilities. Join us as we live into our mission of embracing God’s call to serve in the world, advocating for people with intellectual disabilities, and providing opportunities for them to enjoy their lives to the fullest.
