"I had a parent call me just to tell me what a great job Miranda is doing," said her supervisor, Molly Farrell. "The parent felt that her daughter was thriving for the first time … it was all because of Miranda."
Miranda has matched the likes and interests of each one of her staff with the like and interests of each of the residents at the house she supervises. As a result, the women spend more time out in the community, going to the places they like to go. As an example, one staff members goes with one of the residents to a bar or to a concert at least once a month, and they both have a great time. That same staff member styles hair, so she gives the ladies hair cuts and most recently dyed one of the resident's hair. Other staff have been able to help the residents decorate their bedrooms to match their individual tastes.
Staff members, too, note the good work Miranda does. Case managers have commented on how well the residents are cared for, how well the house is kept, and how organized and complete the business records are. During her time as manager, there has been no follow up needed on any case manager visits to the home.
Outside of the house, Miranda shows her willingness to help Mosaic in other ways. She completed the Good to Great training and has become a Good to Great Coach. She takes initiative and is always will to help others whether it's covering in someone's absence or helping the maintenance men do yard work and put up gutters.
"She has a positive attitude all the time," Farrell said. "She doesn't believe in ‘to do lists' so she is always ahead on everything. She is a hard worker that is always looking for ways to advance her growth, and help others at the same time."
