Stephanie Gehlhaar, Executive Director

Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

Mosaic's mission is to provide people with intellectual disabilities possibilities and the chance to make choices-a home, roommate, employment, and how they engage in their community. We empower people to work and live a life of happiness and fulfillment. A life of possibilities.

Mosaic began providing services in Osceola as Bethphage in 1985. In 2003 Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes joined hands to become Mosaic. Mosaic in Osceola continues to strive to improve the lives of people we support. Today, 42 individuals are encouraged to be involved in the community and to create a life that they choose. This cannot be done without the support of the staff, families, community, and volunteers.

Please consider how you can improve the quality of your life by enriching the life of someone else.

MOSAIC EXPANDING SERVICES TO CHARITON

Other service provider transfers services to Mosaic

The Lucas County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution allowing Mosaic in Osceola to assume the services that are currently provided by Tenco Industries to people with intellectual disabilities in Chariton by July 1.

"We are excited about this opportunity to expand," said Stephanie Gehlhaar, executive director of Mosaic in Osceola. "It gives us the ability to share skills and assets from both communities to improve the lives of all people with disabilities."

Mosaic currently serves 44 people in Osceola. The addition of services in Chariton will add 38 clients to Mosaic services, Gehlhaar said. In Chariton Mosaic will assume the supported community living, supported employment, day habilitation, respite and vocational services, as well as maintaining the can redemption center operated by the people supported.

"We look forward to a smooth transition," Gehlhaar said.
