MOSAIC EXPANDING SERVICES TO CHARITONOther service provider transfers services to MosaicThe Lucas County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution allowing Mosaic in Osceola to assume the services that are currently provided by Tenco Industries to people with intellectual disabilities in Chariton by July 1. "We are excited about this opportunity to expand," said Stephanie Gehlhaar, executive director of Mosaic in Osceola. "It gives us the ability to share skills and assets from both communities to improve the lives of all people with disabilities." Mosaic currently serves 44 people in Osceola. The addition of services in Chariton will add 38 clients to Mosaic services, Gehlhaar said. In Chariton Mosaic will assume the supported community living, supported employment, day habilitation, respite and vocational services, as well as maintaining the can redemption center operated by the people supported. "We look forward to a smooth transition," Gehlhaar said. |
