Mosaic serves more than 100 people in Delaware. The money that is raised in partnership with donors goes to support individuals and fill in the gap where funding stops and dreams begin. Unfortunately, even with generous contributions, our individuals only have about $40 left on average each month after paying their bills. That is about $10 a week for them to spend on activities most people take for granted, such as going out to eat, hygiene items, or a night out with friends.
Many of the individuals Mosaic serves have items on a wish list that can only be purchased with donations from members in the community. Some of the items include:
- Art classes
- Therapeutic horseback riding lessons
- Cameras and photography classes
- Home renovations
- Trips to Disney, New York City, and the beach
- Tablets, iPads, and computers
- Memberships to the YMCA
- Medical equipment not covered by insurance
- Tickets to concerts, sporting events and shows
For the past five years Mosaic has hosted the Partners in Possibilities Fundraising Luncheon, which helps support our mission.
This year’s luncheon allows community members to join our Mosaic family for a delicious lunch and a formal program that includes an art opening at 11:30, the reveal of the new Rejoicing Spirits video made by students from the University of Delaware, and the opportunity to donate to Mosaic.
The luncheon will be held April 27 at the Deerfield Country Club from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Seats are assigned and limited. Please contact Angi McCloskey, community relations Manager, or Kayla Buzzeo, community relations intern at 302.456.5995 if you would like to join us April 27.
Luncheon sponsorships allow us to ensure that 100 percent of money raised during the event helps the individuals Mosaic serves live a meaningful life and give a voice to their needs. Please contact Angi McCloskey, firstname.lastname@example.org or 302.565.6301, should your church, school, or business be interested in event sponsorship.
Thank you to all our sponsors including MidCoast Bank, MedExpress Walk-In Care, and Bayada Home Health. A very special thank you to Advocate Level event sponsors University Office Plaza and Concordia Lutheran Church.
