Personal Testimony
Robert was born on June 17, 2008, seven weeks premature and with transposition of the great arteries and unable to suckle. He was put on a feeding tube, and he also required oxygen through a tube. He underwent open-heart surgery at two months old to repair his heart. One week later a blood clot in his right arm necessitated removing all his fingers and his thumb on that hand.
At six months old, he had a fundoplication and a G button put in to pump feed. Now at two and half years old, Robert has made great improvements. Regina, an Early Interventionist with Mosaic was wonderful to Robert, helping him reach important milestones. Regina has also been a great help to us by giving us input on ways of helping him to reach the appropriate goals for his age.
We are very thankful for Mosaic and their wonderful program. Robert has only been off the feeding tube for three months, but has progressed further and faster than I could ever have imagined. He counts to ten, knows colors, says the alphabet, throws and catches a ball, rides a tricycle, and can imitate most animals. He is a wonderful happy boy. I feel as a single father, without my mother, Regina and Mosaic, Robert would not be as far along as he is.
