Adult/Child Developmental Homes

What is an Adult/Child Developmental Home?
Mosaic's Adult/Child Developmental Home is a personal home that provides a safe and supportive place for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Each provider is trained and experienced, and our homes are constantly monitored and supported to encourage each person's independence, dignity, choice and decision making.

Mosaic's goal is to find the right home and the right provider for each individual. We conduct regular hosting visits and a sleepover to ensure every provider is a good fit.

Working with providers throughout Arizona, we believe we can find the right home for you or your loved one. Whether you want a pool, love animals, or want a friend who shares your interests and hobbies, our goal is to find a home that you feel comfortable living in to help you live a life of possibilities.

Where do I send my young adult after high school?

Christine has an 18 year old with cognative disabilities and was very concerned about her daughter's future living arrangements. She discussed the matter with her psychologists and physicians, and they urged her to seek an Adult Developmental Home for her daughter.  They expressed that an ADH provides that extra step to help her daughter enter an independant world of new experiences while maintaining a family enviroment.  After all, growth and change are an important part of our lives, helping us all reach our potential. Mosaic helped Christine find a nurturing ADH home where her daughter has been able to thrive and enjoy her life.

Who is going to take care of my child when I no longer can?

George's adult son has autism. Since his wife passed fifteen years ago, George had been taking care of his son alone. As George approached his seventieth birthday, he began to worry about what would happen to his son if he could no longer care for him. He was already finding it physically difficult to provide some of the care his much bigger son needed, like help with bathing and dressing. George reached out to Mosaic for help, and Mosaic found an Adult Developmental Home nearby where his son would receive the care and attention he needed in the kind of family environment he was used to. Both George and his son have been extremely happy with this decision, and the new provideres have become like an extended family to George and his son. George is able to visit his son regularly while feeling secure that his son will always enjoy the high quality of life he deserves.
