Omaha, Neb.-- Nov. 4, 2009-- Mosaic has partnered with RecycleBank, a program that dramatically increases household recycling rates across the country by rewarding families and individuals with RecycleBank Points for the amount they recycle every day. RecycleBank members can now redeem their points for real dollar donations to Mosaic.
Omaha, Neb.--Oct. 30, 2009--Mosaic is recognizing the charter of its first Aktion Club in Omaha with Aktion Club members, families, Mosaic staff, and member of Kiwanis Club of Omaha on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church, 15005 Q St in Omaha. The mission of Aktion Club is to provide adults with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative and leadership, to serve their community, to be integrated into society, and to demonstrate the dignity and value of citizens living with disabilities.
Omaha, Neb. --July 1, 2009--Mosaic will break ground in Omaha on Monday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. on new construction of a six-bedroom home located at 5806 S. 147th Street in Stoneybrook and in Grand Island on Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. at 1523 Hope Street. These homes will be the first of 11 built to fill a critical need for expanded community-based living options for people with developmental disabilities who currently reside at the Beatrice State Developmental Center.

OMAHA, Neb. -- April 27, 2009 -- On May 16, 2009 Raul Saldivar, Papillion resident and Mosaic senior vice president of human resources and chief integrity officer, will run the Great Wall Marathon. He will complete 26.2 miles on the 5,164 steps of the Great Wall in Tianjin Province, China as part of the Mosaic Great Wall Challenge. His goal is not only to complete this unique marathon, but more importantly, to raise funds for Mosaic international programs.

MOSAIC EXECUTIVES HONORED AT CONFERENCE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS
OMAHA, Neb. -- March 18, 2009 -- The Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE) honored two of Mosaic's executives at their annual international conference in Austin, Texas, Feb. 22 -25, 2009. Dr. David A. Jacox, executive vice president of Mosaic, received the Outstanding Executive Award for his visionary leadership, effective management and fundraising, and promoting Christian stewardship within and outside of the organization. Jacox served as president and chief executive officer of Mosaic for 28 years. Brenda Solomon, vice president of mission advancement, was honored with the President's Award for her outstanding volunteer service to ALDE.
Dallas, Texas -- January 26, 2009 -- Mitch Carr, of Jody Dean & the Morning Team on 98.7 KLUV-FM in Dallas/Fort Worth, will serve as master of ceremonies of Mosaic's 12th Annual Heart & Soul Gala with the live auction to be conducted by Mike Jones of United Country Auction Services on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. Attendees will enjoy a Mardi Gras Masquerade themed evening with dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions all at the Radisson Hotel, North Dallas-Richardson.

MOSAIC RECEIVES NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD
OMAHA, Neb. -- January 8, 2009 -- Mosaic has been awarded its second Basic Assurances Network Certification from the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). Mosaic was the first organization to be awarded this certification in 2006 which evaluates servcies and supports for people with disabilities in the areas of health, safety and security. Mosaic sought to attain this certification to affirm its commitment of providing high quality services.
