About Us

Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

Mosaic began providing services in Pittsburg and Coffeyville, Kansas on July 1, 2010.  (Read more.)

The program currently serves more than 138 people through residential and day services, case management, employment coordination, supported living and other services and employs 160 staff members.

Mosaic helps Paint the Town Red!

Each year, Mosaic in Southeast Kansas participates in a local event called Paint the Town Red.  Businesses compete to decorate their buildings in support of the local college football team, the Pittburg State University (PSU) Gorillas. Judges determine the business winners.

Mosaic in Southeast Kansas won second place this year in the Paint the Town Red community contest on Sept. 9! Paint the Town Red is in its sixth year now and we are already looking forward to our plans to support the team again next year.

Help us support local Special Olympics!

On February 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. seven Mosaic employees will jump into the icy waters to support our local Special Olympics. Nearly 20 individuals served by Mosaic in Southeast Kansas participate in sports with Special Olympics, this is our chance to support these local programs. To pledge, just click on the name of the person you want to support and it is as easy as 1, 2 3!

Support the Mosic Polar Plunge Team

Special Olympics Kansas annually serves over 5,489 children and adults with intellectual disabilities through a grass-roots network of volunteers who serve as coaches and organize local events in one or more of the 22 different sports offered throughout the year. Special Olympics Kansas does not receive governmental funding and is not a United Way agency, but relies solely on the generosity of individuals and corporate donors.
