About Us

Mosaic, then Bethphage, began providing services to families in San Angelo in 1986. Leaders from MHMR Services for the Concho Valley visited our programs in Nebraska and requested that we bring our services to San Angelo. Shortly thereafter, we opened an office and received a contract to provide services in five group homes. San Angelo had a satellite office in Marfa, Texas and in Brownwood, Texas. These homes were all eventually moved to San Angelo and the agency now has nine ICF-MR group homes in San Angelo. The agency added Home and Community-Based Services in 1991.

In May of 2004, the Mosaic Redwine Child Care Center opened, serving children birth to 5 years of age, specializing in serving children with special needs in an integrated setting.

The program in Lubbock began in 1986 with four ICF-MR group homes and a vocational center. In 2005, the agency added Home and Community-Based Services. In 2006, the Lubbock and San Angelo agencies joined together to make the West Texas Agency.

Mosaic TRAILS

Mosaic in West Texas began its therapeutic riding program in June 2007. This program is called Mosaic TRAILS: Therapeutic Riding for the Achievement of Life Success.

The 22 acres of farmland that surround the Mosaic office and the Mosaic Redwine Child Care Center provide the perfect setting for its  therapeutic riding, which provides therapeutic riding experiences for children and adults supported by Mosaic. Therapeutic riding gives a sense of personal strength to people with developmental disabilities.
