San Angelo

About Us

Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

Mosaic has been providing services to families in San Angelo since 1986. Leaders from MHMR Services for the Concho Valley visited our programs in Nebraska and requested that we bring our services to San Angelo. Shortly thereafter, we opened an office and received a contract to provide services in five group homes. The agency currently has nine ICF-MR group homes in San Angelo. The agency added Home and Community-Based Services in 1991.

Wendell the Wildewood Wonder Dog

#
Mandy and Wendell, her prize-winning dachshund, in front of his trophies.
Wildewood is housing not only a champion dog, but also a champion dog owner! Mandy Blair set out four years ago in search of the perfect pet. She found her beloved Wendell at a Petco pet adoption event. After being rescued by Mandy, Wendell has become the loving and protective mascot of the Wildewood household. Wendell, a dachshund, can always be found at Mandy's side. He even accompanies Mandy to work at least once a week.

For the third consecutive year, Mandy entered Wendell into the Weenie Dog Races held every fall at the San Angelo State Park. Having never raced before, Mandy and Wendell were both excited for this year's event. Wendell not only placed second in the races, but also won the title of Most Scared Dog.

Mandy and Wendell came home with two trophies and a doggie bag full of souvenirs! The ladies of Wildewood look forward to many more competitions with Mandy and her prize-winning Wendell.
