Volunteer Spotlight
Written by Liz Jones, Executive Director
Terry Wallace is Mosaic's volunteer spotlight. Mosaic is so blessed to have the involvement of so numerous volunteers. Without these dedicated individuals, we could not even begin to do the work that we do. We could never thank people enough for the hours they give volunteering. One such person who has given countless hours as a volunteer at Mosaic is Terry Wallace.
Terry has given a great deal of her time in working with Mosaic and Mosaic TRAILS. She serves on the Human Rights Committee and wears a number of hats at Mosaic TRAILS. Terry has a background in working with people with disabilities and is a friend of many of our riders.
An avid horsewoman, Terry provides ongoing, invaluable assistance with a variety of horse-related issues. She drives the "official" Mosaic TRAILS horse ambulance, taking our equine partners to the vet when needed. Terry has the uncanny ability to detect the slightest health issue with the horses so that they can be addressed quickly. On more than one occassion, she has provided the financial assistance needed to address concerns at Mosaic TRAILS. In addition to all that, Terry works two days a week as a horse handler for Therapeutic Riding Sessions.
Finally, Terry works with horses on an individual basis when needed to help them work through "attitudinal issues." In short, we are deeply grateful for all that Terry does to improve life for people supported by Mosaic, for the horses that work in TRAILS and for the staff.
