After serving 18 years as a Council Bluffs Police Officer, it's safe to say that Officer Matt Brinkman is a veteran. But one thing that's new to Officer Brinkman is his role as a Mosaic Ambassador and Community Advisory Committee member.
Brinkman's involvement with Mosaic began in March of this year after he attended a Discover the Possibilities tour in Council Bluffs.
"As a Community Affairs Officer, I go out into the community and attend events a lot. I was happy to learn more about Mosaic and hear stories from some of the people they support," said Brinkman.
The month of May brought many things ... flowers, warm weather and most importantly, Mental Health Awareness Month. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Mosaic in Council Bluffs, local businesses and organizations participated in the Embrace Campaign.
What does a meaningful day look like to you? Some might say spending time with friends, going on vacation or volunteering, while others might suggest partaking in their favorite pastime.
Mosaic Direct Support Staff in Denison have spent countless hours determining how to create a meaningful day for each and every person we serve. The result? The launch of the Meaningful Day program, a program tailored to each individual that provides opportunities for them to define their meaningful day.
