About Us

Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

Mosaic is an affiliated social ministry organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a member of Lutheran Services in America.

Mosaic began providing service in the Winfield area in 1997 and currently services almost 60 people. Nationally, Mosaic serves more than 3,500 people with disabilities through agencies in 13 states and nine foreign countries. In Kansas, programs are located in Ellsworth, Garden City, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Winfield, and Liberal.

CREATING A LIFE OF POSSIBILITIES THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Mosaic in Winfield broke ground on Dec. 3, 2009 for construction of two new HUD six-plexes and the residents were recently able to move in the week of September 2. Individuals and staff are becoming adjusted and are enjoying their new surroundings. The homes, which are fully wheel-chair accessible, one-story six bedrooms, fill a critical need for expanded community-based living options.

Stay tuned for a grand opening celebration coming soon. Wish list items for these new homes include recliners, couches, bake ware, and a printer.
