“Mosaic Is What I Prayed For”

“Mosaic is what I prayed for.”

These are the words Jay’s mother Marie relievingly uttered after she met with Mosaic the first time.

After much searching and interviewing a host of service providers for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Marie and her late husband finally found the right place for Jay–a place that tailors supports to each individual’s needs.

To advance our mission of “relentlessly pursuing opportunities that empower people,” personalized services are increasingly important to those we serve and their families. It’s the best way to help someone live a better life.

I hear stories from many family members such as Marie who say they are so glad for Mosaic’s unique services for each person’s unique needs, because they know their loved one is well taken care of both physically and mentally. Many also share they no longer experience overwhelming worry and have found a sense of peace.

Jay lives with a “Mosaic at Home” independent provider with whom he was diligently matched. Mosaic at Home provides a shared living environment and 24/7 supports designed around the specific needs and wants of each person, so they can be active members of the household and be engaged with the wider community.

Although Jay experiences occasional bumps, Marie says he is happy.

“I’m so glad Jay is with Mosaic. I’m not going to be around that much longer, but now I know he will be properly cared for the rest of his life.”

Meeting people’s unique and diverse needs such as Jay’s to help them lead a more meaningful life is the core of what we do.

Thank you for supporting our mission.
