Mosaic in Omaha

Mosaic is partnering with two other local nonprofits on an art series designed to include people with intellectual disabilities in community life.

The monthly “Empower Hour with the Arts” – presented in conjunction with Benson Theatre and WhyArts – kicked off on Thursday, June 7 at The B Side of Benson Theatre. The sessions will include coffee, conversation and an art experience led by a WhyArts teaching artist. The Empower Hour with the Arts series is made possible with support from the Omaha Downtown Rotary Club.

“Art is such an important part of so many of the people we support’s lives,” said Tim Bogatz, Community Relations Officer. “The opportunity to learn and grow as artists in an inclusive community setting is huge for them.”

All sessions are led by WhyArts artists and will be held from 10–11:30 a.m. at The B Side. This is open to the public. The schedule is as follows:

Aug. 2 | Artist: Bill Hoover
