Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

Mosaic in Macomb has served people with developmental disabilities since 1983 when the first group home was opened. Services were extended to Bushnell, and by the 1990s, nine more group homes were opened.

In January 1997, Mosaic in Macomb program developed day services that now include developmental training, competitive and supported employment. This program was expanded to provide training and employment opportunities by opening two stores in Bushnell, IL called Beth & Friends Gifts & Consignments and the Little Green Shed Furniture Restoration.

Mosaic also operates an At-Home Day Program to provide recreational, leisure and some work activities to individuals who are of retirement age, or are unable to attend the Day Service.

Mosaic in Macomb supports nearly 100 people in 16 group homes, 11 people in At Home Day Program with retirement activities, Based Support Program, more than 50 people in day service and employs 170 staff members.

In September 2014 Mosaic expanded by opening our first group home for four people in Canton, IL.

Mosaic is always learning, growing and expanding, yet the emphasis has always been that the people we serve receive the quality care, compassion and support that they deserve.
