Mosaic in Southeast Texas

The Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston, Texas was jam-packed celebrating the 32nd Annual Mardi Gras Ball for Special People on Jan. 28. Mosaic was there to enjoy food, face painting, costume characters, dance contests, music and more!

Mardi Gras is a big deal and the people Mosaic supports were there to catch some beads and boogie to the beat. People from our group homes in Bryan and College Station took the long ride to celebrate and meet new friends. Many had been to the event before, but there were several attending for the first time. What a joy to see their faces light up and watch them dance to the sounds of their favorites songs. The song classic “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People was a true hit of the afternoon!

This event is proving to be an exciting annual event that many of the individuals Mosaic supports look forward to getting dressed up for and attending. We strive to keep meaningful life experiences like this available for all to encourage connections with families and communities to build relationships and be valued.

Looking forward to 2019 - Laissez Bon Temps Rouler!
