Mosaic in Omaha

On December 19, a group of people in service and Mosaic staff delivered 305 pounds of clothing, blankets, non-perishable food and other items to Open Door Mission. We also delivered eight large boxes full of pet food, blankets and towels to the Nebraska Humane Society. Mosaic in Omaha is very grateful for everything we receive from the community and wanted to give back.

These two donation drives would not have been possible without the teamwork of several people. Thank you to Mosaic staff members Mark Henry, Alexis Harris and Dede Nichols for organizing the Open Door Mission drive by acquiring, delivering and picking up the barrels. Thanks to Jones Barrel Company for donating the six large barrels we used for collecting the donated goods. Thank you to Lucy Hancock of the Cortina Community at Creighton’s Heider Hall and St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church for letting us place barrels at their locations. We also want to thank our Aktion Club volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Omaha for organizing the Humane Society donation drive. Thank you to Mosaic staff members Michelle Tozser, Jeremy Feist, Jeff Mikkelson and Betty Campbell for helping deliver the items to Open Door Mission. And finally,
thank you to all the staff members, families and volunteers for donating over 300 pounds of much needed goods.
