The Bargain Box thrift store is run by the Children's Guild of Mosaic. The Children's Guild purpose statement is: To give financial support, in the way of special projects, from proceeds of the Bargain Box, to promote the interest of Mosaic in Beatrice. There are currently  61 volunteers that contributed more than 11,000 hours of volunteer time last year. Those hours are spent sorting donations from the Beatrice community and selling those close at thrift store prices.

The award is given by the Mosaic national supports office and recognizes Mosaic agencies that are committed to developing staff and fostering a great work environment.

Mosaic Possible means following your dreams, even if that involves politics!  Karl Boerger has a knack for politics. So when the Nebraska Association of Service Providers (NASP) presented the opportunity to visit with his Senator and see the Legislature in session, there was no hesitation. Karl took the day off work to celebrate Nebraska's 101st birthday with intellectual and development disabilities services providers and self-advocates from across the state, including friends from Mosaic in Axtell and Kearney.

The pomp of a graduation ceremony seems to speak the same thing: a life of possibilities.

Those possibilities are almost palpable for a number of people served by Mosaic as they achieve graduation milestones this time of year. With their families, they look toward the future with optimism and excitement.
