Mosaic in Winfield

Danita McHenry was recently chosen as an Interhab Art Award winner! Danita and the other art award recipients will be honored at a luncheon being held Friday, Oct. 10 at the Topeka Capitol Plaza Hotel. Artists will receive a gift that features a photo of their artwork. To attend the luncheon, please contact Janet Middendorf at jwells@interhab.org to make your reservation. Additional guests may attend for $25.

Mosaic in Rockford

People served by Mosaic in Rockford performed in the Special Olympics on June 13 and 14. The Summer Games is Special Olympics Illinois premiere sports competition with more than 4,000 athletes and Unified Partners competing in 6 different sports, along with 1,600 coaches, 2,500 volunteers and 3,300 family members. That totals more than 11,400 people who attend Summer Games each year!

Mosaic in Colorado Springs

Chef's Night with Mosaic was held on July 24. Lori Mueller with Pampered Chef worked with five people who Mosaic serves to make appetizers for an event catering to Ambassadors. Twenty-eight people were in attendance at the event, which was hosted at the Eagle Summit Clubhouse. The menu consisted of cool veggy pizza and fresh fruit with a tasty dip.

Mosaic International

Meet Petko. He’s an 8-year-old boy who lives in Ruse, Bulgaria. Like all boys his age, he loves making messes and swinging, as the photos show. He goes to school each day, learns new things and sees his friends. He has Down Syndrome and lives at home with his family.

Pretty typical story, right?

Well, not long ago in Bulgaria, this story was anything but typical!
