For the past century, Mosaic has enabled people with intellectual disabilities to experience wholeness of life and full inclusion in their communities. Mosaic is the combined heritage of two outstanding national organizations - Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes. Bethphage was established in 1913 in response to the neglect experienced by children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who resided in large institutions. Martin Luther Homes was organized in 1925 as a school for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities. In recognition of their shared mission, vision, and Lutheran heritage, Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes merged their organizations in 2003 to create Mosaic.

Originally Martin Luther Homes, Mosaic in Waco opened their doors in 2001 after the need arose to open an office and day program in the area. In 2003, the agency expanded its office and continued to grow exponentially. Today, Mosaic in Waco serves 125 individuals over 11 counties in the heart of Texas. Mosaic in Waco is licensed to serve people in all counties under the authority of the heart of Texas and the Central Counties Center for MHMR Services.

Mosaic in Waco provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.
