On Saturday, March 25, Mosaic partnered with local artist Charlie Harris to create a life-size art installation in celebration of Easter. Fifteen individuals served by Mosaic, six direct support professionals, four interns, and the community relations manager worked together to create a giant Easter egg necklace to celebrate the holiday and welcome in spring.
Seth competed in the Special Olympics in Dover, Delaware. He won second place in bowling and received another medal to add to his impressive collection. Seth bowled a 175 in his first game and a 134 in his second game. When asked how he felt after winning second place, Seth responded, “Good! A lot of people were cheering!” He added, “A lot of friends came that he hasn’t seen in a while!”
Mosaic serves more than 100 people in Delaware. The money that is raised in partnership with donors goes to support individuals and fill in the gap where funding stops and dreams begin. Unfortunately, even with generous contributions, our individuals only have about $40 left on average each month after paying their bills. That is about $10 a week for them to spend on activities most people take for granted, such as going out to eat, hygiene items, or a night out with friends.
