Omaha, March 12, 2026 — At a time where frequent career changes have become more common, Mosaic is celebrating a rare milestone: President and CEO Linda Timmons has reached 40 years of service to the organization and those it supports.
Timmons’ journey began in high school, when she worked part-time at Bethphage, one of Mosaic’s legacy organizations. After the 2003 merger that formed Mosaic, she was named Vice President of Program Services, quickly rising to President and COO in 2006 before assuming her current role in 2008.
Reflecting on her four decades of service, Timmons attributes her longevity to the community that sustains Mosaic’s mission: the colleagues she works alongside, the families who entrust their loved ones to Mosaic’s care, and the donors, volunteers, and board members who give so generously of their time and talent.
“Mosaic has a long history of improving lives, and I am honored to help lead that legacy forward. To make this kind of impact is the greatest contribution I could wish to make,” Timmons said. “Truly, I feel I am exactly where God called me to be.”
Under Timmons’ leadership, Mosaic’s reputation has flourished, leading to invitations to fill gaps in underserved communities and pursue strategic acquisitions that strengthened the sustainability of other providers’ services. She has also steered the organization through a pivotal service transformation, growing shared living into Mosaic’s largest 24/7 residential service offering.
This dedication to progress earned Timmons Lutheran Services in America’s Innovator Award in 2025. Yet, even as Mosaic scales and evolves to meet people’s needs, the heart of the organization remains fixed: its fundamental call to ‘love and serve’ is as steady today as it was a century ago.
“This is not about me. This is about a mission that has been around for 113 years and hopefully will continue for decades to come,” Timmons said. “The world needs organizations like ours.”
Timmons’ 40-year tenure also mirrors a deeper trend within the organization: Timmons is one of 63 employees who have served for 30 years or more, highlighting a workforce deeply invested in the mission.
