Omaha, Neb., April 30, 2026—Two Mosaic Direct Support Professionals received a national award for the outstanding support they provide to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), a national association for community-based disability service providers, presented Ritchy Corvil of Georgetown, Del., and Siobhan Gonzalez of Tucson, Ariz., with 2026 Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Year Awards during an event in Boston on April 23.
Since 2007, this award has recognized DSPs who go the extra mile to support people with IDD. The awards also celebrate DSPs’ important role in helping people with IDD live full lives and participate in their communities.
Corvil, with Mosaic in Delaware, and Gonzalez, with Soreo, a service of Mosaic, were two of only 57 honorees selected for this year’s award from a record-breaking 544 nominations from around the country.
“Being recognized with a DSP of the Year Award is a tremendous honor every year,” said Barbara Merrill, ANCOR’s chief executive officer, “but this year it’s particularly significant given the enormous pool of talented professionals from which our judges had to choose.”
As a DSP, Corvil actively seeks opportunities to enrich the lives of the people he supports, coming up with ideas others might not consider.
“Ritchy goes beyond the basics and adds creatively to the job,” his nominator wrote. “He listens to what people want, and he makes it happen. He looks forward to helping people reach their dreams. He is a natural leader, and one who truly makes a difference.”
Gonzales has more than 15 years of experience as a caregiver and has shown unwavering compassion, professionalism and dedication to those she serves.
“She exhibits our mission and values every day, and her dedication inspires those around her,” her nominator wrote. “Siobhan reminds us that caregiving is not just about meeting needs, it is about helping people live with dignity, joy and purpose.”
Corvil and Gonzalez say they are honored to be among this year’s award recipients and touched that their teammates and leaders nominated them.
Linda Timmons, Mosaic’s president and chief executive officer, says DSPs like Corvil are the heart of Mosaic’s mission.

These latest honorees bring Mosaic’s total to 55 award recipients since its inception—a reflection of the talent and dedication found across the Mosaic network.
