Friendship Blossoms and Grows Through Mosaic at Home

Living a good life means feeling connected-to ourselves, to each other and to the world around us.

Strong social connections don’t just lift our spirits, they also support our health. According to the Mayo Clinic, adults with healthy friendships face fewer health problems and tend to live longer.

This is good news for Teri and Bootsie, two women Mosaic supports in Kansas.

The pair met in 2015 while living in a group home and quickly forged a friendship. When the home was closed, they worried they might be separated.

That’s when Tammy, a Mosaic at Home shared living provider, stepped in to help.

“I was scared that maybe there would be somebody who didn’t want to take both of them, and I didn’t want them to get separated because they love each other so much,” Tammy said.

So, Tammy did what she thought was best. She invited Teri and Bootsie to live with her, in her home. The two remain inseparable to this day, doing practically everything together.

Watch the video below to see how their friendship has blossomed under Tammy’s care and find out the adorable nickname they’ve given each other.

Spoiler alert: It’s really sweet!
