Omaha, Neb., May 4, 2026—Linda Timmons, Mosaic’s President and CEO, was inducted into the Legacy Leaders Hall of Fame by ANCOR, the American Network of Community Resources and Options, on April 23 at the organization’s annual conference in Boston. The Legacy Leaders Hall of Fame recognizes longtime ANCOR members who have positively influenced the association and made meaningful contributions to its quest for community inclusion for all.
Her nomination noted, “Linda Timmons exemplifies Mosaic’s purpose statement, ‘We are called to love and serve.’ She has dedicated her more-than-40-year career to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
Timmons began working as a teenager at the Mosaic campus in Axtell, Nebraska, home to one of Mosaic’s founding organizations, Bethphage.
“My father was a Lutheran pastor, and for several years, my mother worked as a nurse on the campus and later in an administrative support role,” Timmons said. “My parents modeled inclusion and acceptance while providing inspiration for my career in the nonprofit sector.”
Her talent and passion drove rapid career growth through roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her becoming president and chief executive officer in 2008.
Under Timmons’ leadership, Mosaic has increased the use of personalized services for individuals and expanded service lines to meet people’s needs and desires. It has moved into three New England states, providing services under the Living Innovations name, and grown revenue from $188 million in FY 2008 to $431 million in FY 2025. Additionally, she led the establishment of a successful, sustainable fundraising program named Partners in Possibilities.
Timmons currently serves on the ANCOR Board and on the Lutheran Giving Board, having held executive positions including chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretary. Her dedication to improving service standards is clear through her work on the Independent Quality Board, where she helps develop equitable and person-centered quality indicators. Past board service includes chairing the audit committee for The Council on Quality and Leadership, serving on the Foundation Board of ANCOR, and serving as chairperson and vice chairperson of the Lutheran Services in America Board, as well as chair of the executive search and governance committees. She is frequently asked to present on various topics at national conferences.
“This is not about me,” Timmons said. “It is about a mission that has been around for 113 years and hopefully will continue for decades to come. I hope to be remembered as someone who appreciated the rich history of the organization and inspired people to take up the torch and move forward!”
