Soreo, a Service of Mosaic, Grows Through Acquisition in Arizona
Mosaic has a vision for the future that will ensure sustainability of the essential services we provide to people. There are several pieces of that vision, but one is strategic growth to expand the positive impact of Mosaic in the communities it serves.
I’m happy to announce the latest step in continued growth. On August 1, Soreo, a service of Mosaic in Arizona that provides in-home care for the aging and people with disabilities, doubled in size through the acquisition of Prileo, another Arizona home care provider. Here are the numbers that show the extent of the growth: On July 31, Soreo provided supports to around 450 people, and on August 1, Soreo began providing supports to around 950 people.
The acquisition enlarges Soreo’s footprint of services into new areas of the state, expanding beyond the Phoenix, Tucson and Casa Grande areas into the Kingman and Yuma areas, Soreo shares Mosaic’s call to serve others through high quality supports that align with our values of Belonging, Connection, Faithfulness and Grit. Mosaic acquired Soreo in 2018.

Our purpose statement is simple: Mosaic is called to love and serve. It doesn’t define whom we love and serve. We will never move away from our traditional mission to serve people with IDD, but when we’re able to bring our values and approach to other services, it makes sense.
Providing in-home supports also fits the direction of how services for people with disabilities have changed over the years. Our largest 24-hour residential service is now Mosaic at Home shared living. People love it because it gives them the greatest amount of choice for where they live, with whom they live and how they spend their days. It’s the same control each of us seek in our lives.
In-home supports go a step further, because they help people—whether they are aging or have disabilities—remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. They can stay in their own home and live the life they’ve always known, but with additional supports as they need them.
Besides expanding our impact, there are additional benefits to growth. One is having a stronger advocacy voice with funders and the State of Arizona to shape the future of quality supports. Plus, a larger organization is better able to manage the ups and downs of the rapidly changing in-home supports field.
We’re pleased to welcome both people who receive Prileo supports and the workforce members who provide them to the Mosaic network, as part of Soreo, a service of Mosaic.
