April is National Autism Awareness Month. Recognizing the unique supports that assist people with autism to excel has guided Mosaic’s Grow Our Own Clinician program to grow from one clinician six years ago to more than 20 today, and to support more than 100 employees to receive their IBCCES Autism Credential.
Mosaic has teamed up with a like-minded service, StationMD, which is a telemedicine physician practice that’s dedicated to providing medical care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This month, as we recognize National Disability Employment Awareness, we want to thank the businesses that have answered the call to boldly partner with Mosaic and the people we support!
By providing meaningful employment opportunities, they empower people.
Tyler, a young man we support in Central Nebraska, personifies grit, one of Mosaic’s values. Tyler is 26 years old and has been served by Mosaic since he was 15.
His two biggest goals have always been to live on his own and work at a job where he felt wanted and needed.
Today, Tyler helps people experiencing homelessness. He now lives in his own apartment, with support from Mosaic.
