Mosaic in Northern Colorado

For nearly two decades, Kim and Darren File have embodied the spirit of giving. What started out as donated Christmas gifts for a group home has grown into an entire day of giving which now includes almost every person the agency serves.

Kim File spends her year shopping for the gifts that will be given away that first Saturday in December and usually has specific people in mind when she makes her selections. The Files now know many of the individuals Mosaic supports because of their long history with the agency, and they even know many of those people’s interests and hobbies. That intimate knowledge makes the task of picking out items even more enjoyable for Kim.

Every year, Mosaic in Northern Colorado helps facilitate a Gift Giving Christmas Party where the Files, their children, and now grandchildren come and set out all the items gathered throughout the year. Those who choose to participate are allowed to pick out a few things they may need or want. The gifts are wrapped and Darren, dressed as Santa, delivers them.

Mosaic in Northern Colorado is so grateful to the Files and the tradition they have created for their family and those we support. They are an important part of the caring community Mosaic strives to foster every day.
