Impact Report 2022: Powered By Connection

One Mosaic refers to the organization being a national network with local impact.

As Mosaic services have evolved, the organization is no longer a place you go, but instead is something you’re a part of—the One Mosaic network of services.

Ted Daniels keeps himself busy. He swims three times a week, goes sailing, enjoys water skiing and paddle boarding (and enjoys watching those sports on TV). But he also finds time to be creative—he is a painter, sculptor, woodworker and poet. Served by Living Innovations in Maine, one of Ted’s paintings is featured on a Mosaic greeting card this year.

Living Innovations is an affiliate of Mosaic that serves in Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island and has been part of the “One Mosaic” network since 2021.

Mosaic’s Real life. Real possibilities. strategic roadmap describes One Mosaic as “a national network that has local impact.”

The underlying concept is that locations across the network are able to focus on quality services and building relationships with those supported, their families, the workforce and the larger, local community. They’re aided in that work by a national supports team, which provides expertise and the staff who take care of the business, IT and human resources functions among other things. Both vertical (locations to national supports) and horizontal (location to location) relationships exist within the One Mosaic network to build ever-higher quality, share best practices and promote sustainability.

Annually, the organization celebrates the network with One Mosaic Day, celebrated on July 1, the day Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes united as Mosaic in 2003. Members of the workforce (both employees and independent contractors) are invited to share photos of themselves in T-shirts given by Mosaic. The photos should share a little about their life and what’s important to them.

In 2022, the theme for One Mosaic Day was connection. Locations across the network shared more than 275 photos and videos, which were used in a series of videos shared on July 1 with the Mosaic workforce and highlighted the diversity of places and people who are part of the network.

As Mosaic services have evolved, the organization is no longer a place you go, but instead is something you’re a part of—the One Mosaic network of services.
