March is National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Meant to create awareness about the importance of including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all facets of community life, March is National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Awareness (NIDDA) Month.

Mosaic honors the people we serve with our own awareness and educational campaign themed “Inclusion Inspires.”

Our NIDDA theme goes closely together with disability inclusion and grows from Mosaic’s Mission to “relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people”—with the ultimate goal to help those we serve to direct their own lives and make their own choices that reflect their personal goals and desires.

In order for Mosaic to do that, we’re always looking for local partners across our 13 states in more than 700 communities to provide volunteer, worship, recreational and employment opportunities. These partners make a real, positive impact on the lives of those we support.

Learn how you can partner with Mosaic to promote inclusion; also on this page, enjoy the short, enlightening video about the ways inclusion inspires us all.
